I am a caring and experienced HPC registered Practitioner Psychologist and BPS chartered Counselling Psychologist with special interests in anxiety, bereavement, trauma, phobias, culture and gender related issues and relationship issues. I have worked with adults and children in various settings including NHS and private practice.

Trust, confidentiality and working at a pace that is suited to your specific needs are essential elements of my practice, providing a safe environment in which to explore individual issues.

I use a number of approaches in my work including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, offering a shorter term, focused approach to looking at specific issues in the 'here and now' and longer term work involving exploring the bigger picture by perhaps adopting an Existential or Person-Centred approach. In longer term work, if it is beneficial, I may integrate two approaches such as CBT and the Existential approach. I also work with groups and couples.

I offer both therapy and supervision to trainee counsellors, psychotherapists and counselling psychologists on accredited training programmes.

Education: I have trained at Regent's University, London Metropolitan University, Birkbeck University of London and The London Institute.

I hold qualifications in: Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, Post grad Dip and Cert Psychology, Post grad Dip Life course Development, BA (hons).

Training: Advanced Cert in CBT, Advanced Cert in Child and Adolescent PTSD and Trauma, Certificate in counselling children in schools, Certificate in bereavement counselling. Expert Witness Training, Level 3.

Experience: Nine years psychological experience in clinical and community settings, including individual adult and child, couples and group therapy. Experience includes one year trauma and PTSD intervention work with migrant and refugee children, two years NHS therapeutic practice in loss and bereavement, two years working specifically with anxiety related issues and phobias, two years psychiatric rehabilitation work with medium risk patients, including self-harm and one year experience counselling children in schools. I have additionally helped to co-facilitate confidence building groups and support and recovery groups.

I am able to act as an expert witness and provide reports upon request and I am recognised and registered with Aviva, Pruhealth, Cigna, AXA PPP, and WPA as a provider of psychological therapies.
